C has achieved college entrance which is absolutely down to the massive support from Susannah at Light Up Learning and the work done between her and our SDS advisor. Over and above support.

The 1:1 support has been really valuable for A. Someone who was quite quiet before and could be often overlooked.

G has struggled with his mental heath and engagement in school at times. However, Light Up Learning gives him the space and time to be listened to and feel valued. He is easily influenced by peers but has a very mature attitude and is incredibly reflective. He is super excited about the prospect of visits next session.

S has enjoyed her sessions and speaks very positively about them. She always looks forward to attending and has built a positive relationship with her mentor

Light Up Learning has helped L with self-esteem and identity support enormously. L doesn’t have a particularly supportive background and struggles with not being ‘seen’ by key adults in her life. Light Up Learning has supported her personal growth and confidence and there have been improvements in mental health.

Light Up Learning has played a pivotal part in P development and largely thanks to the work of the team he has successfully secured and maintained a job prior to beginning college in August.

K has left school as mature, polite young person with clear aspirations for the future - he was extremely proud to tell various teaching staff what he was going on to do. In his final year he stood out for being proactive in linking in with employers to organise additional work placements which were extremely valuable. Light Up Learning has contributed to his determination and confidence to do this.

D has grown in self-esteem and confidence - he has increased his ability to discuss the issues that matter to him. Light Up Learning has greatly helped him find his own voice within decisions that are being made for him.

B has felt seen and recognised - its given him a chance to sit with someone and process his thoughts/day in a safe and encouraging environment

This has often been the only thing S has attended within a school week. This support has often proved a vital life line to S. Its greatly helped that its taken place within the school as its helped maintain a connection

T has grown in maturity - he is now better placed to see and understand that school is a stepping stone. He is more open about his future and prepared to explore goals to achieve his potential
